As winter now approaches, we are mindful that the Covid-19 virus is still with us and in certain areas the number of cases is increasing.
We are abiding by the most recent government guidance issued on the 24th of August 2022 which states,
Face masks should be worn by all care workers and encouraged for visitors in care settings and when providing care in people’s own homes, irrespective of whether the person being cared for is known or suspected to have COVID-19 or not. This is sometimes referred to as ‘universal masking’ or ‘source control’ and is a means of preventing any spread of infection from the mask wearer.
We will continue encourage all visitors to the homes to wear as mask unless exempt, this will reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus and the influenza virus for our resident’s, staff and visitors. (This does not apply in Scotland unless there is an outbreak.)
We would also request that those visiting our homes maintain good hand hygiene, this will support in the reduction of Covid-19, Influenza, and seasonal winter vomiting infections.
We would like to thank you for your continued support in maintaining safety in our homes and would like to remind you, that if you are feeling unwell with cold / flu or stomach bug symptoms not to visit your loved ones in the homes.
